My New Toy
After 183,000+ miles and 13 years I've finally broken down and bought a new vehicle. My truck has needed significantly more maintenance this year and it was time to retire it as my primary vehicle. I didn't bother trading it in as its only worth a few hundred dollars bluebook (if that) and its handy to have another vehicle around, I might sell it to the mill for use as a work vehicle by the time the plates expire in May.
So what did I replace it with? I've sorely been wanting something that had better gas mileage and a back seat, and something that didn't completely bust my budget. Combine that with a GM discount thanks to an uncle who spent 40 years working as an engineer for GM (Allison Transmission to be precise) and I present to you my new car, a 2007 Pontiac Vibe:
